3 Things I’d Like to Learn More About…

1. International Affairs

I would love to learn more on the topic of international affairs. Personally, I love to travel and I really enjoy leaning as much as I can about different countries, including their traditions, history, and culture. I like to experience all the differences between places around the world. I feel like there is so much to learn about the artistic styles associated with various countries and how they can interact and blend. I believe that seeing many different artistic styles represented by various different countries could influence my art pieces.

2.  History of Fredericksburg

I would love to learn more on the history of Fredericksburg. Since it is now my new home, I think it would be a good idea to learn more about the area and what is has to offer. Currently, I know it has the historic downtown district, along with the battlefields but that’s about it. I would like to actually gain some in-depth knowledge on the history of the town by maybe taking a walking tour and seeing the sights. I think that knowing some historical background about the place that I live could help to influence my art as well.

3.  Physical Geography around Fredericksburg

I would really like to learn more about the landscape of Fredericksburg. I know that the Rappahannock River runs through the town, but I’d like to know what other natural features surround the area. Some questions I have are what is the closest mountain range, what are the best hiking trails, and where are the best views. I think the natural beauty of  Fredericksburg could help to inspire any landscape art that I do.
